These are our students from first academic year 2008-09.
![]() Linda Logan,M.P.Aff The International Diploma in Mental Health Law and Human Rights is a winner in significant ways. The members of the faculty are stellar, not only in their real-world accomplishments (not just academic panache), but also in their willingness—to a person, every one—to engage with the students in a collegial and supportive exchange of ideas and perspectives. The students themselves are accomplished and represent a broad range of players in the world of mental health and human rights—psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, mental health administrators and human rights proponents in public and private sectors, and all truly world-class advocates for change. There is much to be learned both in class and out It is evident that a great deal of thought has gone into the course’s creation. Regardless of the state of development of mental health services and human rights in the individual nations represented, students and faculty alike had the opportunity to obtain a broader and deeper understanding of how policy and law can work together for positive change. I personally found the experience inspiring and stimulating and look forward to continuing the course in the coming year. |
