Akwasi O. Osei

Dr. Osei is the Director of Accra Psychiatric Hospital and the Chief Psychiatrist of the Ghana Health Service. He is a part time lecturer in various medical institutions in Ghana and a Hubert Humphrey Fellow from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, US.
Dr. Osei has great interest in the interrelationship between ethics, law and mental health on one hand, and religion, philosophy and psychiatry on the other. He was one of the key technical drafters of the Mental Health Bill for Ghana currently awaiting passage into law in Ghana.
